Julian Serrano brings his memorable Mediterranean cooking to Bellagio as executive chef of Picasso. Serrano earned the James Beard Foundation Award twice as Best Chef in the Southwest in 2002 and Best Chef of California in 1998 and is regarded as one of the finest culinary talents in the nation.
Although of Spanish descent, Serrano has an affinity for French cuisine and completed most of his training in the gourmet kitchens of France. Picasso is a 10-time recipient of the AAA Five Diamond Award from 2002 to 2011, and a Michelin two-star restaurant for 2008 and 2009—the only two years Michelin rated Las Vegas.
In December 2009, Serrano opened his eponymous restaurant at ARIA Resort & Casino, satisfying a long-held ambition to share the secrets of his own Spanish cuisine.
